Requires a Matter compatible smart home hub, thread border router and iOS/tvOS 16.5+ or Android OS 8.1+ to connect to a smart home ecosystem.

Examples of Matter hubs that double as thread border routers include the Apple HomePod mini, Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen) & Amazon Echo (4th Gen). See more examples in the Tech Specs below.

For control with just the Nanoleaf App, only Bluetooth is required.

Hard to connect

It works very good after setup, but setup takes 3 hours with googling. If you connect it to Google Nest Wi-Fi Pro 6E, first of all connect over Bluetooth, then update Strip to last version and then reset it and connect via matter.

Great Single Color Lightstrip

Pros:
- Thread Device: Reliable, no wifi required, etc.
- Great Quality

Cons:
- Single color in time. Does NOT support multi color at the same time like rithem, wave, etc.
- Does not have any diffuser. Couldn't have them in sight at all.
- Does not come with any L shape connector for corners.

Two different technologies, same product line

I bought these to use with Apple HomeKit and… they don’t. Going back to the website, this is clear. However, thread, matter, blah blah blah - it’s confusing. I wish their stuff just worked. And it doesn’t. Your time would be better spent researching something easier to use.
