The Nanoleaf remote is one of those products that you don't know what your missing until you use it. The ease of customizing the light panels using a single remote makes it extremely easy and a joy to configure to really customize the space according to your preference.
Not a must have. but a very cool addition
Nice product with the ability to load 10 light programs of your choice. Simple to use and easy to pair up to the app. Spinning the remote for light brightness is slick. I've read issues about the remote freezing after doing an update....it works just fine out of the box. Don't do the update.
So, the thing looks amazing. It's cool how it glows, and twisting to control the panels is rad. But at least for HomeKit, it's simply exposed as 12 different remotes, each of which is activated when you turn the device to "that" side up. Remembering what each of the 12 sides does, and where the number you want is in relation to what numbers you see is basically impossible (for example, you see side 5. You have to remember that side 8 is the one that turns on the kitchen lights, and you basically have to rotate the device until that side is in the appropriate orientation, all without activating another side. It's complicated). Anyway, it's cool and it's not that expensive,e but for HK it's maybe not as useful as you'd hope.
