I really enjoy this product. I work in IT and love gadgets like this! One thing I would want to point out is the shipping method. Throughout the shipping process, I wasn’t able to track my order. It was at my doorstep and I was still getting an error when searching the tracking number. I didn’t get an estimated delivery date either and too quite a while to arrive. The adhesive you provide for the corners of the TV don’t seem to adhere well. The lighting could use some improvement in regard to light location and I would LOVE adaptive circadian lighting on this, like my other Nanoleaf devices - but I can only hope that would come with future firmware updates. Overall, I’m getting this for my
Family as a Christmas gift. I would have to order early to make sure they arrive in time.

Wait until version 2

1. I have bought three of these, my experience has been consistent in that the product does not work as advertised. 2. After turning off advanced data protection, enabling UPnP, only enabling 2.4 GHz radio, using only a thread compatible hub - the devices still won’t connect. The only reason I give it a 2 is that luckily the devices came up that I can control them via the buttons on the controller (I don’t care about changing functions - I just wanted the 4D backlight. 3. Tech support and sales support are non-existent - I did get responses on the first device and then they just told me to make sure the device wasn’t plugged in when one controller didn’t even respond to button touches. I have many devices on my HomeKit - and this just isn’t the “it just works” I have competitors devices that just support matter (rather than Apple HomeKit specifically) - they worked. I can’t even use my 30 day return policy because I can’t get ahold of anyone. No chat is available, the one phone number I have found - no responses to my voicemails, and tech support hasn’t responded in weeks.

Bumpy setup, but works great!

I’ve been waiting for soooo long for a TV backlight with HomeKit support to come out, and Nanoleaf filled that void. Setup was rough and the sticky tape on the back of the strip is not strong at all, so I had to reinforce it with some 3M tape on the corners. I do with there were more automation options with HomeKit when it came to the 1-4D modes.
