This is my second replacement for my two sets of Canvas control squares. They seem to fail exactly after the 2-year warranty expires. Very frustrating and costly. Seems almost intentional. Both times the squares were unresponsive to any attempt at a hard rest. The connecting squares were all glowing in a faded white color, while the control squares remained unlit. Further more, I have the remote device. It has worked up until this point, but now I find out the remotes are no longer supported in the new firmware. I do not prefer to turn my canvas off by mobile app or walking over to the wall. The remote was perfect. It sat on my desk and I could just turn it off from there by just touching the remote... I feel like there needs to be more remote possibilities with the app, such as timed turn off. I still cannot understand why the control panels continuously fail. These are expensive devices and I wish I knew how unreliable they were before investing my money into what seems like a money pit. Other then that, I do enjoy them, but at what cost?...
Let’s face it, if you use the canvas as much as I do, you will burn out the controller at some point. Have an extra on hand is well worth it, especially if it is after warranty. Nanoleaf stands by their product and warranty but a blackout Canvas for any amount of time is depressing. Excellent idea to pick one up and have ready to switch out. Canvas Control Square
Original control square broke, the company worked with me to find a resolution that worked for both of us. New control square solved my issue and canvas works great again. Thanks Nanoleaf.
