Cool products, Huge Hardware/Software issues

Bought these on sale; loved the look and feel of them. Issues were soon made apparent product refused to connect and function as advertised. I reach out to customer services; but they were unhelpful. They gave me a list of things to try, and I tried them all multiple times. They have known about these issues for 3 years and refuse to innovate the connection process (Read the youtube comments on their products or go on the Reddit). I would love to love these; but I can't in good conscience support a product at this price point that doesn't work. I'll be returning my lights and waiting for them to innovate their product. (If they do so)

Worst Software Reliability On The Market With Alexa

I am really tired of the issues I am having with the software on these so leaving this on the elements page but this problem applies to all nano leaf products except for the original (discontinued) light panels:

I have tried many knock off cheap brands with apps/software/setup that was maybe harder to understand (usually due to poor localization) but always reliably worked. I have had these elements and essentials products since release and it is just endlessly buggy to no extent here are issues I constantly face:

-takes ages sometimes to respond to commands (1-2 minutes)
-every few weeks de syncs completely on Alexa (elements need to be hard reset) most often affects essentials
-sometimes randomly changes scenes with 0 inputs
-and the latest which was last straw for me with update 9.2.0 they pair with Alexa and become immediately unresponsive.

I want to mention some positives:
-homekit is always flawless (but lets face it Alexa is much more prevent on the market then Siri for these integrations no clue how this isin't prioritized)
-hardware quality and finish is top notch I do have to admit

So why 1 star : it rly comes down to I have to tell anyone who would ever ask me to absolutely stay away from this product the time this has been in market and remains so buggy combined with the price makes this a total no go yo can buy something from govee that is near same quality for at least 20% less and the integrations actually work!!

Looks decent off, ugly when on

These faux wooden elements look fine when powered off, but the way the light shines through is just not good. There a dark spots at each corner, and it is obvious the panels are just plastic then they are turned on. Very disappointing.

Horrible Service

My order was tampered with upon arrival. I did not receive what I had ordered. Instead, I received a package that was already open, completely different from the type I had purchased and missing components. I attempted to return the package but I was never refunded for my purchase. I cannot contact customer support and so I now need to go through my banking in order to dispute this charge.

We are genuinely sorry for this trouble with your Nanoleaf Lights. This is the last thing we want to have in our customer experience, and we understand where you're coming from. The packages should arrive sealed to you and complete, like how we usually have our items delivered. Can we make sure we get more details into what happened here so we can get this corrected for you?
