Another half baked product

This is a product that shouldn’t have been released yet. A lot of features that used to work for the “old” gen suddenly no longer work and “engineering team feverishly working on it”. For example themes. You used to be able to make theme and group multiple nanoleaf accessories to work together. Not with essentials. Apparently something with thread (or matter) makes it super difficult.
I even reached out to the customer support team. What a waste of time. After customary “turn off everything and reboot everything 25 times in all possible combinations” they finally told me that “yeah, it doesn’t seem to work”, and that engineers are working on it, and “no, there’s no ETA when it’s going to happen”. That is 3 hours of my life wasted.
I think i am going to stop buying Nanoleaf stuff until they get their shot together.

The best around

Easily the best RGB smart bulb you can get. Amazing deal for the price, wonderful colors, and minimal connectivity issues. Works great with Homekit and matter, can even set up in homekit without even having the Nanoleaf app.

Nanoleaf thinks they fulfilled my order

I’ve gotten emails asking to review the product that hasn’t actually been delivered. UPS says they’re waiting for the package information. All they have is a label. But Nanoleaf shows it as shipped.

Bulb bad, customer service worse.

Bought 8 bulbs from the Apple Store, one of the bulbs would dim randomly all the time. It would flicker and dim and not function properly. Contacted customer service, several weeks went by and didn’t hear a response so eventually contacted them again. Over a month later I finally received a replacement bulb. This one is worse than the original. Would not buy another bulb.

Really neat product and excellent support service

I have several Nanoleaf bulbs and light strips in my house. I love the convenience and the flexibility they provide. When I ran into an issue with one bulb, the Nanoleaf support was friendly and helpful and they quickly resolved my issue.
