How do I control the Caveman bulb?
You can control it through a smart home ecosystem app or voice commands (Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, with Matter-compatible smart home hub), or through a hardwired lightswitch.
Users can also use the Nanoelaf App as Caveman is a Nanoleaf Smarter Partner.
What is Matter?
Matter is a new smart home standard and universal language that allows different smart home devices to work together, regardless of the brand or manufacturer (as long as they are Matter-compatible).
How do I connect this bulb to my smart home ecosystem?
Just screw in your bulb, power it on, and open your chosen smart home app (Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa) and proceed to add a new device. Follow the in-app instructions and you are all set! Alexa users can also leverage Alexa Matter Simple Setup.
Can I use this bulb with a traditional dimmer switch?
No. Smart bulbs have their own virtual dimming feature and cannot be controlled a traditional dimmer switch.
Can I control multiple Caveman bulbs at the same time?
Yes, simply group them together within your smart home platform.
How do I make sure my light bulb is up to date?
You can update your bulb through the smart home ecosystem app you've paired your device to. Caveman is a Nanoleaf Smarter Partner, updates are also accessible through the Nanoelaf App.
What is a Smarter Partner?
As a Nanoleaf Smarter Partner, Caveman leverages Nanoleaf technology to make their products smart. This also allows Caveman lights to utilize the Nanoleaf App for control, updates, and to access additional features and functionality (like color-changing Scenes, and Circadian Lighting).
How do I reset the bulb?
Turn off your bulb, wait for 3 seconds. Turn it back on, wait for 1 second. Repeat these steps 5 times. Bulb will flash red three times if successful.
