Brilliant Outdoor String Lights.

After having the misfortune of getting a faulty set of lights, the Nanoleaf people soon sorted out my problems and I soon had my lights up on the outside of my house. But I had to move them to my outdoor area because they are amazing, I couldn’t see, that would have been a waste. With them lighting my outdoor area it is now a truly entertaining area. They are bright and cast an endless choice of colors and patterns. With the App I can easily set up an endless array of moving patterns in any color I choose. With the faceted lens I mounted them close to a plane colored wall to better show off the patterns. I’ve had lots of lights before but these are the best ones I’ve ever had. Depending how they are mounted, patterns can be made with every individual light addressable, it’s a bit like going from one long light to 40 (I got the extra option) individual of coordinated dancing lights.

They look great but never stay connected no matter what I do. So frustrating. Can’t tell if it’s the app or the controller. Worked great at first and I even had an automation in Home…but then just went totally unstable and always off line when I open the app. I would stay away and wait for better product development.

Lovely

I set them up last weekend. They look very solid.
I like everything about them except the fact that every time I use the app I have to close and re open it to get it work after.
Also the power adaptors design makes no sense. I could not plug it into an outdoor plug and close the shield. I had to cut a juice bottle, make a hole in the top part and run an extension cord into it to make it kind of water proof.

Missing Item/Failed Customer Service

Reference Order 226844US, Customer Service Ticket 87871.

Nanoleaf failed to send an item. I proved Nanoleaf failed to send the item using shipping information from Nanoleaf’s chosen carrier. Customer service has failed to address my concern for over two weeks and has gone silent.

I ordered a Smarter Kit and two extension kits.

Nanoleaf sent the two extension kits via FedEx -- one box that weighted 16.1 pounds with dimensions of 15X15X10.  

The FedEx tracking number is 420271929792 and the link is still active.  Nanoleaf can independently verify the weight and dimensions.

Nanoleaf can verify they didn't send the Smarter Kit by simply weighing the three items or trying to fit the three items in the box the warehouse used to ship my partial order.

I also sent Nanoleaf a photo showing the two extensions kits alone weighed 16 pounds proving the Smarter Kit could not have been included in the box that weighed 16.1 pounds.  The photo also showed that a third box of similar physical dimensions as the extension kit would not fit in the shipping box.

1 star, because I can’t give zero.
