Not worth the time or money

I only had the light strip with screen mirror for a short time before I started having issues. I have been emailing back and forth with their “support” team for months. They keep repeating the same troubleshooting ideas and asking for the same information. These trouble shooting procedures also disconnected my app from the device so now I cannot even control the lights.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with our Nanoleaf 4D TV Screen Mirror Kit. We apologize for any inconvenience and frustration you have experienced with our product. We value your feedback and want to assure you that our customer support team is dedicated to resolving any issues you may have. We understand that troubleshooting can be a tedious process, but it is necessary to determine the root cause of the problem. We have also escalated this case and someone from our support team should be reaching out to you on this case. If there is anything else we can do to assist you, please do not hesitate to reach out. We appreciate your patience with us and hope we can get this sorted out as soon as possible.

Not perfect

The backlight does not match the screen perfectly, but it looks sexy and really enhances the look of my living room when I’m watching TV

Bricked and no path to remediation

tl;dr - I got it to pair once, it did nothing, tried troubleshooting + fixing to the best of my ability, and am currently in support limbo for more than 2 weeks.

To preface this, I was really excited about setting this up on my gaming setup and having it interact with my lines + bulbs. It was sold out of the lightstrip package so I just got the camera + device. I have about 10 bulbs, a canvas setup, and two lines setup which I've all had varying amounts of difficulty setting up but eventually was able to get them working.

When I first got it I had to force my network into 2.4ghz mode to get it to pair once, and it only was able to initiate the process about 1 in 3 times. I finally got it to pair once and it was very flakey in terms of getting it set up, timing out in communication with the app, and trying to apply firmware updates. As well I found out that the essentials products weren't yet supported which is somewhat disappointing but my lines will do just fine. And the essentials products are on the roadmap so that's fine.

At some point in the first day it stopped working entirely. I couldn't communicate with it and couldn't re-pair with my home network. I tried the instructions to reset and that didn't produce any changes. (From the reset instructions: "When done correctly, the Lightstrip will flash white and the controller LED will go off from being solid white." doesn't really help if you have the version without a lightstrip). I went through all the troubleshooting steps and then contacted support. When I power it on it just cycles through the LEDs continuously and sometimes the LEDs just power off.

I contacted support on Oct 29 detailing all the steps I took to try to fix it and was asked for a video confirming the issue. I sent that on the same day didn't hear back until the 4th letting me know it was "escalated to R&D" and asked for more details which I responded with that day. No response for another week+ and I asked for an yesterday (nov 13). Support did not indicate if I *could* get a replacement device or asked if I wanted that vs a refund. It's now still in limbo and I've asked to just have it refunded.

If I'm able to update this review I'll include any developments.
