Can I use the String Lights outside?
Yes! These lights are rated IP44, which means it can withstand water splashes and light rain.
What does addressable mean?
Think of addressable technology like a gradient. As each LED can display a different color at the same time, your String Lights are able to show a beautiful gradient of light.
Are these Matter, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth compatible?
You can control the Nanoleaf String Lights over Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or with Matter over Wi-Fi.
How should I set up the Nanoleaf String Lights for the best light effect?
We recommend starting from the middle of the tree. Wrap one string downwards and the other upwards. Try to utilize all of the string lights as you reach the top or the bottom without having the same string wrap back in the opposite direction. Arrange as a spiral for best results.
How big a tree can your String Lights cover?
Our 20m String Lights (250 LEDs) should comfortably cover a tree that is 5 to 7 feet high, while our 24m String Lights (300 LEDs) should cover 6 to 8 feet high.
Coverage depends on factors like the shape of your tree, and how close or far apart your string lights are when you wrap them around your tree/space.
Can I attach additional strings together?
String Lights cannot be physically connected together to form one extra long set. If more than one set is used, they will act as their own independent units.
You can however, utilise the Nanoleaf App and apply group Scenes to more than one set of String Lights so that they all play the same Scene at the same time.

I installed Nanoleaf’s Holiday String Lights around my 7-year-old son’s safety bed frame, creating a calming and interactive lighting ambiance in his room. As a child with extensive special needs (non-verbal, limited mobility, cognitive delays), having the ability to customize his environment on the fly—whether for bedtime, sensory regulation, or playtime—has been a game changer.
These lights have completely transformed his space, turning it into a comforting, engaging retreat. For parents looking for a functional and sensory-friendly lighting solution, I highly recommend them!
Easy to setup and work well. Many options in the app. Basic features can be controlled from Home Assistant.
The lights are awesome with good selection of light scenes/colors. The weakest link is the app. The scheduling feature simply doesn't work. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.
Our lights were so easy to put on the tree, to set up on our phones and to start experimenting with. I enjoy walking into the room and studying the lights before I sit down and begin creating a new pattern or changing the colors.
I'll admit that we only knew about Nanoleaf from a family member who has your lights, and I wonder why I haven't seen them advertised at all. A number of people who've seen our tree plan to order lights for next year, so it would be great to allow more consumers to know these are available. I plan on getting another set for our second tree now that I'm in love with them. Thank you for a great product.
