Dope little lamps!

We picked up a couple of these badboys and love 'em to bits. We generally leave 'em plugged in 24/7, but I love to having the option to temporarily unplug and relocate them as our lighting needs change. One thing to watch out for, though, is that not all USB cables charge the lamp.

Hi there! Thank you for leaving us such a positive review on the Nanoleaf Smarter IQ Umbra Cono lamps. We're thrilled that you love them as much as we do! We completely understand the convenience of being able to unplug and relocate them as needed. Thank you for the heads up about the USB cables, we will definitely keep that in mind and make sure to provide that information to our customers. If you ever need any further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. Have a great day!

Poor Battery

I was excited and really like the product, however the battery life is terrible. After fully charging, the battery only lasted a few hours, before needing to be charged again.

Thank you for your feedback on the Nanoleaf Smarter IQ | Umbra Cono. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the poor battery life. We value your satisfaction and would like to assist you in resolving this issue. Kindly try using a USB-C to USB-C cable to charge your device as we have also received reports of using other USB charger types can result in the battery draining despite the lamp being plugged into a power source. Please contact our customer service team for further assistance with your battery concerns. We appreciate your support and hope to make your experience with our product a positive one.

confusing light, looks nice, but not worth the money

Positive is that the connection of this light with the app is way better than all other products I own from nanoleaf, which actually makes it controllable through the app.
The light looks nice from a distance and the brightness is ok.
Negative to me is the build quality, it looks and feels very cheap.

I received a broken light out of the box and applied for a replacement. Since there was no stock this took several months (which was not a big problem).
Since it took so long I opted to (also) buy the Philips Hue Go table light, which admittedly comes at a higher price point (160 euro's vs 110 euro's for the Cono), but when I compare the build quality (steel vs cheap plastic), battery life (easily a full evening on the Go, vs 2, maybe 3 hours on the Cono), brightness (although the Go produces indirect light it's way brighter than the Cono) and finally app control (Hue simply always works, Nanoleaf unfortunately has issues with their app).

I still gave it 3 stars because I do like the Cono and it's design, it's just ridiculously overpriced.
For the quality you get a price point of 30, maybe 40 euro's seems fair, at the current price of over 100 euro's I simply wouldn't recommend it (there are better options out there).

Nice Lamp - terrible to not existent smart home integration

with 95% of my home lightning/appliances etc being integrated with my "smart home" solution, I bought these in view of integrating them in my existing ecosystem (mostly based on Amazon Eero/Alexa/Threads). I'm sorry to report that this is a virtually impossible feat (even though both Threads and Alexa support are advertised as available). Neither the Alexa-direct integration or the threads integration via Eero are working, despite endless attempts, options and reading all available support information. Based on what I see on forums, I'm no alone in this situation, so I would at least HOPE that a future firmware update might fix some (if not all) of these issues. As of now, the 2 essentials lamps I purchased will sit in a box collecting dust.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our Umbra Cono. We are glad to hear that you think our lamp is nice, but we are sorry to hear about your experience with the smart home integration. We understand your frustration and we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. Our team is constantly working on improving and updating our products, and we will definitely take your feedback into consideration for future updates. In the meantime, our customer service team is always here to assist you with any issues you may have. Please reach out to our support team at support@nanoleaf.me anytime. Thank you for your support and we hope to have the opportunity to make things right for you in the future.
